SARS-aligned statutory calculations, BCEA employment rules, and EMP201 preparation — built in, not bolted on.
PAYE, UIF & SDL calculations
Built-in progressive PAYE bands with rebates and age thresholds, UIF employee and employer contributions, and SDL calculation — all data-driven from versioned, reviewable rule snapshots.
Payslips and employment contracts
Generate BCEA-aligned payslips and employment contracts in one click. Employees access their payslips through a read-only self-service portal with no separate login needed.
SARS EMP201 preparation
Aggregate your monthly PAYE, UIF, SDL, and ETI totals into an EMP201 summary ready for eFiling submission. Never miss an EMP201 deadline with built-in reminder alerts.
ETI (Employment Tax Incentive)
Automatically calculate ETI credit eligibility and monthly amounts for qualifying employees. ETI carry-forward logic and EMP201 aggregation included.
BCEA leave and overtime
Track annual leave accrual, overtime, Sunday work, public holiday pay, and national minimum wage compliance — all aligned with the Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
Immutable payroll history
Every payroll run captures a snapshot of the SARS tax tables, UIF ceiling, and SDL threshold used at calculation time. Your records are audit-proof even as statutory rates change.
Data processing and POPIA
Payday processes personal information on behalf of employers in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). During onboarding, you will be asked to acknowledge a Data Processing Agreement that sets out how employee personal data is collected, stored, and used within the platform. Employers are responsible for complying with their obligations as a responsible party under POPIA.
Important: Payday calculates, prepares, and reminds — it does not file, pay, or submit statutory returns to SARS, the UIF, Compensation Fund, or any other authority on your behalf. All outputs should be verified by a qualified payroll practitioner or tax professional before remitting to statutory authorities. Payday is not endorsed by or affiliated with SARS, the UIF, or any South African government body.
